WiFi

ramnet e.V. offers a WLAN network that is very fast and covers the entire facility. Due to the nature of WLAN, the speed can vary, especially in the evening hours. Do a speed test (speed.ramnet.de) if you find it too slow.

Washing machines

In cooperation with Vossen, we have installed small microcontrollers in all washing machines. This means you can now pay for the machines at my.ramnet.de/laundry, see how long they will continue to run, and which ones are available.

Doors

If the laundry room closes after 10 p.m., you as a member can still open the door via my.ramnet.de/laundry and therefore also wash and collect your laundry at night.

Academy

At the Academy, we discuss current and important network and IT infrastructure topics. Topics are offered for both beginners and advanced users. The RAM infrastructure gives us the opportunity to apply what we have learned in practice.

3D printing

We offer you the association's 3D printer for free (fair-use) use. If you would like to print something, just drop by after Office Hours.

Laser printer

In addition to the 3D printer, we also have a normal A4 color laser, which you can also use free of charge (fair use).

Community

We are a club for everyone and love our cultural diversity! At the weekly social get-together (after office hours), you can relax and chat over a cool drink. It doesn't always have to be about studying, sometimes it's about the new apartment, the great new hobby, or just making new contacts.

Waffle evenings

Now as much a part of ramnet as fast internet: Legendary waffle evenings, free of charge for all members. We announce such events at short notice in the Telegram group - sometimes not, so it's worth just showing up.

LAN

You should find a network socket from us in every home. If you don't have a WiFi access point, you can connect new devices directly, receive an e-mail and then add the device yourself. If you have a WiFi access point, then connect it in exactly the same way, but then you have to send us an e-mail once. We will then add it.

The devices are, just like your WiFi devices, in your own small network that we provide for you.

Community room

As a member, you can also use the common room. Here you will find free drinks, a projector, VR headset, kitchen, toilet and home cinema system.
